• What is eSIM 1 Minute Activation?

  eSIM 1 Minute Activation is a feature on the Batelco App that enables users to activate a new Postpaid or Prepaid line instantly through the App, eliminating the wait for a Physical SIM card delivery. This service is only available for devices that are compatible with eSIM technology.

• How does eSIM 1 Minute Activation work?
  1- Select a new service.

   

  2- When choosing your SIM, select the ‘eSIM 1 Minute Activation’ option.

   

  3- Scan your identity document and enter your personal details.

   

  4- Capture your facial recognition and enter your personal details. During the capturing process, it’s essential to ensure that your facial recognition matches the identity document provided and is valid. Please note that the use of VPN is not permitted during this process.

   

  5- Agree to the terms & conditions of the service and place your order.

   

  6- Activate the eSIM through your device settings or by scanning the QR code provided on the App.

• Is the feature secure?

  The App guarantees secure data transmission throughout the activation process. No data will be shared with any external parties.

• How do I transfer my eSIM from my current iPhone to a new iPhone?
  • On your new iPhone, go to Cellular in your Settings.
  • Select the line you want to transfer and then select ‘Transfer Line’
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to transfer your eSIM from your old iPhone.
  • Allow two minutes for your eSIM to activate.

• How can I switch from an eSIM to a Physical SIM card?

  You can switch from an eSIM to a Physical SIM card for a fee of BD3.3 through any Retail or Digital shop.

• Where can I mange my SIM/eSIM from?

  You can manage your SIM/eSIM from your device settings by selecting the ‘Cellular’ option.

• How can I get the QR code to activate my eSIM?

  The eSIM QR code will be visible on the App to activate.

• Can I activate multiple eSIMs on the same device?

  You can activate up to 10 eSIMs on the same device, only one Physical SIM and eSIM can be used simultaneously. You can easily switch between SIMs at any time through your device settings.

• What happens to my Physical SIM if I switch to eSIM?

  Once you switch to an eSIM, your Physical SIM will be deactivated and will no longer be active.

• Are there any charges when I transfer my eSIM to a new device?

  There are no charges for transferring your eSIM to a new device.

• Can I transfer my eSIM to another device?

  You can transfer your eSIM to another device at any time. However, you must first deactivate the eSIM on your current device prior to switching devices.

• Can I install and activate the new eSIM if I am outside Bahrain?

  The eSIM installation process is accessible from anywhere. However, the eSIM can only be activated if you are located in Bahrain. Once activated, the eSIM can be used anywhere.

• How can I track and view my eSIM order details?

  You can track and view the status of your eSIM order conveniently through the App.
